1.1 Discuss with examples the nature of terms used in library classification. Explain the contribution of Indian School of Thought in its development.
OR
1.2 Describe with suitable examples various species of library classification.
2.1 Briefly explain the methodology for the study of subjects.

2.2 Explain the steps involved in the practical classification of documents.
3.1 Enumerate the 'Tables' in DOC. What purpose do they serve? Explain with suitable examples.
OR
3.2 Highlight the major trends and developments that have taken place in Dewey Decimal Classification and Universal Decimal Classification in recent times.
4.1 Discuss the role of classification research groups and other organizations in the development of library classification.

4.2 Discuss the postulates of basic facet in colon classification.
