Explain the term 'para teachers' and the compulsions to appoint para teachers. Discuss the initiatives taken by any two states to train para teachers.

Explain the main roles of a secondary school teacher. Keeping in view the teacher roles, discuss the experiences to be included in the teacher education curriculum giving suitable examples.

Discuss any two strategies that may be adopted for the professional development of school teachers.

Discuss the historical developments in distance teacher education in India and highlight the measures that have been adopted for maintaining the quality of teacher education programmes.
