1. Answer anyone of the following in about 1200 words:
Identify the training needs of the course writers in distance education. Discuss any suitable strategy to train them.
'Training is a continuous process' .Given the availability of information and communication technology, discuss the possibilities of offering training programme to the faculty of open university on a continuous basis.
2. Answer any four of the following questions in about 300 words each:
Discuss the pedagogical role of a teacher in online training.
Write a short note on 'learning management system'.
Write about three important activities that may enhance your professional growth.
Discuss anyone method used for training need analysis.
Explain the purposes of evaluation of a training programme.
Write a note on collaborative staff training in distance education institutions.
3. Answer anyone of the following in about 1200 words:
Discuss critically the importance and the functions of learning activity tools, interaction and collaborative tools and support tools that can form the basis to develop online professional development programmes.
If you are asked to plan and organize a 3-day training programme for the non-academic support staff in distance education, how would you plan and organize the programme? Prepare a schedule for the training programme.
