1. Answer anyone of the following questions in about 1200 words

'The role of distance teacher is more challenging than the conventional teacher.' Do you agree with this statement? Explain how a distance teacher can overcome these challenges through instructional design.

Discuss major principles which play crucial role in facilitating learners to construct their own knowledge. Explain how these principles can be used in instructional design for ODL system.

2. Answer any four of the following questions in about 300 words each:

Discuss the techniques of cognitive task analysis with suitable examples.

Discuss ARCS model of motivation and its implications for designing instructions.

Explain Kirk Patrick's model of evaluation and its significance for Open and Distance learning.

Explain the basic concepts on which 4C/1D model is based.

Describe systems approach to course planning. Discuss the steps of systems approach with examples.

List the steps involved in analysis phase of instructional design for training.
