What is communication technology? Discuss some specific educational uses of communication technology.

What are the major strengths and limitations of Internet? Discuss implications of Internet for distance education.
2. Answer the following question in about 600 words:
What is meant by multimedia approach in distance education? Describe graphically how this approach is followed by IGNOU in its instructional system.
OR
What is meant by the term 'programme format' Discuss with examples some of the standard formats for presenting educational radio and television programmes.
3. Answer any four of the following questions in about 150 words each
Describe the merits of as an educational medium.
Write a short note on 'networked society'.
Differentiate between 'rehearsal' and 'recce'. Why should a video producer never skip these steps
What is a story board? Explain its importance for educational TV script writers and producers.
Discuss the advantages which 'Pre-recorded TV programmes' have over 'live TV broadcasts'.
Describe the role of 'Computer-Aided Learning' in distance education.
