Answer any two questions from this section in about 500 words each. 2x20=40
1. Make a critical assessment of different land reform measures implemented in India during the post-green revolution period. Also make a brief summary of measures you will suggest to make the land reforms effective. 12+8
2. Make a case for promoting rural industries and artisans in the changing landscape of the Indian economy. Also suggest measures, in brief, to make this sector viable and more productive. 10+10
3. "New agricultural technology is scale-neutral." What do you mean by this statement? What are its applications for policy-formulation? 12+8
4. Examine in brief the different areas of reforms in agricultural sector during the last two decades. Also state in brief the nature of issues being presently faced by the sector. 10+10
