Note: Answer any TWO questions out of three. All questions carry equal marks.
1. International economic relations in the 20th century witnessed unprecedented developments which led to the evolving of concepts, precepts and doctrine completely unique not only to achieve order in global economic and trading relations but also in the establishment of international economic institution.
In the light of abovementioned paragraph, discuss in detail the economic relations before and after Second World War which laid the foundation of Havana Charter? (10 Marks)
2. Attempt both the questions:- (Marks 5×2=10)
a. What is free trade and why is it so important? Also explain briefly the five basic principles of the WTO?
b. The WTO adds three new dimensions to the objectives in the Preamble of the GATT 1947. Briefly explain these three New Dimensions?
3. Write a note on any two of the following: (Marks 5×2=10)
a. Trade Policy Review Mechanism (TPRM)
b. Accession of new WTO Members
c. The WTO Secretariat provided under Article VI of the Agreement Establishing the WTO
