1. The Information Technology Act, 2000, is the comprehensive legislation in India dealing with cyber crimes and other allied issues. Accordingly, define the term cyber crime discussing the classification of cyber crimes with relevant sections and punishments thereof. Also, identify the grey areas which have not been addressed by the Information Technology Act, 2000. (Marks 10)
2. Answer the following questions:
a. Importance of Model Law on E-Commerce adopted by UNICITRAL can't be negated under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Discuss its role and need for cyber law in India. (Marks 05)
b. What is the role of Certifying Authorities under the Information Technology Act, 2000? Also discuss procedure of obtaining licence to issue Digital Signature Certificates. (Marks 05)
3. Answer the following questions:
a. Mr. Sam wants to send digitally signed PDF document to Ms. Diana. Mr. Sam also wants to encrypt PDF document so as to maintain secrecy of the message between them. Help Mr. Sam to put digital signature on PDF document. Also discuss the procedure of encrypting message by Mr. Sam and decrypting it by Ms. Diana. (Marks 05)
b. Define and distinguish between Cyber Stalking and Cyber Defamation by giving suitable illustrations. Highlight its relevant sections and punishments thereof. (Marks 05)
