UNIT I
1. Demonstrate the usage of binary variables and the applications of binary logic with the help of
simple switching circuits.
Given the two binary numbers 1010100 and 1000011, perform the subtraction.
and Y-X using complements.
2. Illustrate the procedure of converting from octal to hexadecimal numbers
Give the logic circuit representation of logical operations AND, OR and NOT and discuss the
input-output signals for the corresponding gates.
UNIT II
3. What is Product of Maxterms? Express the boolean function in a product of maxterm
form.
Implement the following function with NAND gates.

4. Express the following Boolean functions in the following
i. XY in standard sum of products
i. in standard product of sums
List different steps in obtaining a multilevel NAND diagram from a boolean expression and
demonstrate the same for the following boolean function.
