BFW-042 MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUE-II

Note: Attempt any seven questions. All questions carry equal marks.
1. Define any five of the following terms
Classic shoes
Trimming
Sabot styles
Cuban heel
Cupped sole
Slip-on
2. Name the basic bone categories in foot. Also state the number of bones in each of the categories.
3. Describe the procedure for calculating material allowance by RSM method).
4. What is last? Explain different types of last.
5. Differentiate between any two of the following:
Raw edge and Underlay
Oxford brogue and Derby monk
Glazed finish and Patent finish
6. Draw the anatomical structure of raw hide showing all constituents.
Write down the sequence of operations for making leather crust from wet-salted cow hide.
7. What is the purpose of thermo-folding machines? Name and explain its parts.
8. Explain Collar binding and Slip beading with the help of neat diagram.
