1. Answer the following question in about 600 words:

Explain the significance of Social Studies in Secondary School Curriculum. Discuss the factors which influence decision making in social studies curriculum.

OR

Discuss the concept of Integrated Approach to teaching Social Studies and its significance, by giving suitable examples.

2. Answer the following question in about 600 words:

Discuss with examples, how lecture method is used in teaching of Social Studies. Point out the difficulties faced by a teacher while teaching through lecture method.

OR

Prepare a blue print of a question paper prepared for any topic of Social Studies and discuss the weightage given to different dimensions, according to the blue print. Write two instructional objectives in behavioural terms from each of dimensions.

3. Write short answers to any four of the following questions in about 150 words each

Prepare a list of various teaching skills that a Social Studies teacher needs to develop among the students and explain anyone in detail.

What are non-cognitive outcomes in Social Studies.

What instructional methods and media would be used to discuss "the measures to conserve our natural resources."

Discuss qualitative assessment of students performance in Social Studies.

Discuss the skills associated with discussion method in "teaching Social Studies".

Discuss the causes for economic and Social inequality in India.

Discuss the meaning and cause of environmental degradation.

4. Answer the following question in about 600 words:

As a Social Studies teacher prepare a diagnostic test for your students at secondary level. Explain its use in the teaching of Social Studies by giving suitable examples.
