1. Answer any three of the following: 3xl0=30

Discuss the purpose of documenting every completed, on-going, or proposed engineering activity.

Giving examples define the audience for a technical document.

Explain the necessity and stages of revising a draft of a technical document.

Giving examples bring out the importance of structuring a sentence in a technical report.

2. You, as an expert, are deputed to inspect a portable aggregate processing plant set up at a project site. Frame your report about the shortcomings and improvements needed to be carried out. Explain with sketches. 20

3. To deliver a refresher-course lecture (to the supporting staff) about the construction of a multi-storied building, frame a programme of graphical and pictorial aids, you would use. Give concrete examples. 20

4. In a hilly area, a bridge stands damaged due to heavy rains and floods. You are to inspect the site and the structure, prepare the damage report, and suggest immediate and long-term measures to allow smooth flow of traffic. 20
