Explain about the importance of engineering ethics with a suitable illustration.
12. State and explain the advantage and limitation of the codes of ethics of engineering societies. Describe any six fundamental issues addressed by codes of ethics of engineering societies all over the world. Or Explain the concept, engineering as social experimentation with examples.
13. Define safety and risk. State the factors which influence the sensitivity of the public to risk. Write a short note on risk-benefit analysis. Or Describe the Bhopal gas tragedy and its effects.
14. Describe the professional rights of engineers. What do you understand by white collar crime? Explain the various occupational crimes with examples. Or What kind of ethical issues arise out of conflicts of interest. Whether professionalism and unionism, can coexist? Give yours views and justify.
15. Point out the parameters behind selection of engineers as managers for an industry and discuss the various points behind managers as professionals.
