COMPUTER PROGRAMMING
[Common for I Semester IT, ECE and EEE) II Semester CE and
Time: 3 Hours Max Marks: 70
Answer ONE Question from each Unit
All Questions Carry Equal Marks
All parts of the question must be answered in one place only
UNIT I
1. Draw and explain the structure of C program.
List the basic data types used in C and give their sizes.
2. Draw a flow chart to find the GCD of two numbers. use division and mod operations).
List all the operators in C along with their precedence and associatively.
UNIT II
3. Develop a C program to read two matrices A and B and perform matrix multiplication on the
given matrices.
Sorting an Array of Integers into Ascending Order.
4. Write a C program that calculates the sum of the digits of an integer.
Write a C program to find Power of a Number (i.e.XY where x and y are inputs) without using
built in functions.
UNIT III
5. Using an example compare the declarations char and char *a.
Write a single program to demonstrate the Call By Value and Call By Reference functions by
taking an example of swapping the values of two variables.
6. List the four categories of functions and explain them briefly.
Write a C program to read a text and print the number of characters and words in it (Use
pointers).
UNIT IV
7. Write short notes on enumerated data type in C.
Write a program in C to store and display the information of 10 students using structure.[10M]
