framework of a research process.
2. Identify the situations where survey research is best suited. Describe the instruments used to
conduct survey research.
3. Describe Ranganathan's 'Spiral of Scientific Method'.
4. What is meant by sampling Briefly explain the different methods of sampling.
5. Describe different methods of graphical presentation of data. Illustrate your answer with the help
of suitable examples.
6. What is meant by time series analysis Explain its importance in research and describe its various
components with the help of suitable examples.
7. Why questionnaire should be pre-tested before putting it to actual use Explain the precautions
to be taken while constructing a questionnaire.
8. Critically examine the interview method as a tool for data collection.
9. Define research plan and distinguish if from research design. Discuss aspects of funding,
monitoring and ethical considerations associated with a research plan.
