11. Derive an expression for the carrier concentration of
an intrinsic semiconductor.
Or
Discuss in detail the V-I characteristics of SCR.
12. Draw the ideal voltage transfer characteristics of an
op-amp and also explain. Why an op-amp behaves
like this in an open-loop configuration?
Or
Explain how first-order low pass filter can be
constructed using op-amp.
13. Explain in brief the different subfamilies of TTL
circuits.
Or
With suitable diagram, explain the basic CCD
structure and explain the charge transfer and
frequency response in detail.
14. Draw a sample and hold circuit. Explain its
operation and indicate its uses.
Or

transit time device.
Part C x 10 30)
Answer any three questions.
16. Discuss the construction, principle and working of a diode
laser.
17. Explain the working of op-amp as a log amplifier using
input and output waveforms with circuit diagram.
