1. "A lattice combined with a basis generates the crystal
structure" Comment on the statement.
2. What is the effective no of lattice points in a primitive
unit cell and a non-primitive cell?
3. "The effective mass of an electron becomes positive,
negative and infinity" Comment on the statement.
4. What do you understand from Bloch's theorem?
5. Explain the term polarization catastrophe.
6. What are piezoelectric crystals?
7. What are hard and soft magnetic materials?
8. Mention some of the properties of diamagnetic materials.
9. Mention a few line about high temperature super
conductors.
10. What is London penetration depth?
