SECTION A [40 Marks]
1. Write short Notes up to 5 lines in length.
(a) Pneumothorax
Wound infections.
(c) Benign versus malignat tumors.
Strabismus
(e) Vertigo
2. Answer the following question upto 3 pages in length: [10]
What is a fracture? How do you manage a case of fracture of femur with bleeding and shock?

Attempt any ONE question out of the following two questions and Answer should be upto 5 pages in length. [15]
(a) What is infection? What are types of common organisms which cause infection? What precautions will you take while treating a case of AIDS?
OR
(b) What are common causes of bleeding? What are blood substitutes? Discuss the importance of blood groups in blood transfusion.

(e) Deep venous thrombosis
5. Answer the following question upto 3 pages in length. [10]
What is tumor? Give an overview of management of a malignant tumor.
6. Attempt any ONE question out of the following two questions and Answer should be upto 5 pages in length. [15]
(a) What are various refractive errors? Describe tests for refractive errors and their management.
OR
(b) Describe briefly about various types of abdominal incisions and outline the post operative complications following infection. How will you prevent incisional hernia?
