LAB III — APPLICATION PROGRAMS
(2007 Onwards)
Time Three hours Maximum 100 marks
ONE question is given to each candidate by lot system.
Each question has two subdivisions.
1. Prepare your resume with your photograph inserted
on MS-WORD. Use Table, bullets and different color
features.
Create Internal Marks assessment worksheet with
the following columns in MS-Excel.
REG NO, NAME, SEX, TEST1, TEST2, TEST3,
TEST AVERAGE, ATTENDED DAYS,
ATTENDANCE BONUS MARK, INTERNAL
MARK.
Add data for 20 students (Test marks are out
of 30)
Compare TEST AVERAGE as average mark of
best two out of three tests.
Maximum number of working days is 50. Each
student should secure atleast 80% attendance.
Provide 1 bonus mark for each attendance
above eligibility limit 80%.
Complete Internal mark as TEST AVERAGE
BONUS MARK.
Sort the data in alphabetical order of name.
Filter data for male and female students
alone, who have attendance% below 80.

3. Create two tables SALES SALES 2 and join them
to produce a third table SALES 3 in MS ACCESS.
Prepare the first page of MCA PRACTICAL
RECORD Notebook with picture insertion and
alignment in MS WORD.

4. Prepare a news report using two columns. Insert a
picture in the first column and make the text flow
around it. (Use MS-WORD).
Create Inventory table with fields ITEM NO,
NAME, QUANTITY ON HAND, REORDER
LEVEL. (Use MS-ACCESS).
Create a form in custom format.
Create a query REORDER to show all the
items.
Create a Macro that executes RECORDER
query automatically.
5. Type lecture notes and provide audio explanation
with the help of sound files. (MS-WORD).
Create STUDENT table with the following fields
REG NO, NAME, MARK MARK MARK 3.
Create ADDRESS table with fields REGNO,
STREET, CITY and PIN. (Use MS-ACCESS)
Write a query to display REGNO, NAME and
Total of all the 3 subject marks.
Write a query to display REGNO, NAME,
STREET, CITY, PIN and Total of all the three
subject marks.
6. Draw Line, Bar, Pie charts for data given below in
EXCEL.
