Fortune is a newly set-up 100 bedded hospital at Vijayawada. The hospital has two
entrances. One main entrance leads to casualty and the other entrance leads to
outpatient department. There are Five reception counters set-up for receiving patients at
both the entrances. One counter at emergency and remaining Four counters at
outpatient reception (OPD area). Being the administrator how do you minimize the
reception counters and adjust the staffing patterns in reception area. Devise a plan for
separation of counters while optimising the manpower.
