Draw the thermodynamic cycle of a gas turbine plant on T-S or P-V diagram. Explain its processes.
An engine working on Otto cycle is supplied with air at 0·1 MPa, and 35°C. The compression ratio is 8. Heat supplied is 2100 kJ/kg. Calculate
the maximum pressure and temperature of the cycle,
the cycle efficiency, and
the mean effective pressure.
(Given Cp =1·005 kJ/kg-K and Cv =0·718
Explain the working of a 2-stroke petrol engine with the help of a suitable sketch.

Indicated m.e.p. bar
Given: R for gas mixture at S.T.P. =281 J/kg-K.
Also find the brake power.
