2. Explain in brief the various types of sewing machines.
3. Define insole and sole. Also describe them briefly.
4. Draw a neat diagram of a Derby shoe and mark its different components.
5. Explain the purpose of merchandising in footwear sector.
6. What are the raw materials used for making toe-puff and counter stiffener board? Explain briefly.
7. Discuss the various types of finishes used in the shoe industry.
8. Describe different types of upper materials used in stitching process.
9. Explain various safety norms for the operators to be kept in mind during stitching process.
10. Describe the properties of cotton and synthetic threads.
