Answer any two of the following questions in about 500 words each. Each question carries 20 marks. 2x20=40

1. Comment on the conditions of health, nutrition and sanitation in South Asia.

2. Analyse the role of political parties in the political system of Pakistan.

3. Identify and explain the main issues confronting Sri L8nkan polity in recent times.

4. Evaluate the impact of liberalisation and structural adjustment programmes in India.
