Answer any two of the following questions in about 500 words each. Each question carries 20 marks.
1. Write an essay on women reformers in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
2. Identify the basic features of the Indian Constitution.
3. Describe the special provisions for North-East India given in the Constitution.
4. Discuss the characteristics of bureaucracy in India.
Answer any four of the following questions in about 250 words each. Each question carries 12 marks. 4x12=48
5. Write an essay on the Dalit Movement in India since the 1990s.
6. Discuss the issues of conflict between the Union and the States.
7. Critically analyse the relationship between crime and politics.
8. Evaluate the destructive role of Colonialism on the Indian economy.
9. Explain how the Constitution has sought to balance individual and community rights.
10. Why are the demands for autonomy raised? Examine.
11. Enumerate the principal differences between the Fundamental Rights and the Directive Principles of the State Policy.
12. Discuss the main challenges to Secularism in India.
13. Write short notes on any two of the following in about 100 words each. Each part carries 6 marks. 2x6=12
