Advertisement for the Post of JRF/SRF/RA in CSIR sponsored project Dated: 21/11/2017 Applications are invited for the following assignment in a purely time-bound research project undertaken in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of the Institute.

| 6. | Essential Qualifications and experience | : | JRF: Possessing MSc/BE/BTech or equivalent degree with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test. SRF: Possessing (i) MSc/BE/BTech/ or equivalent degree and at least 2 years of post-MSc./BE/BTech, research/teaching experience as evident from published papers in standard refereed journals; (ii) ME/MTech or equivalent degree in Engg/Techn.; RA (Research Associate): Possessing Doctorate (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering /Electrical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Physics or equivalent discipline with specialty in Linear and Nonlinear Analysis/MEMS or NEMS/related subject relevant to the scope of the project OR having 3 years of research, teaching and design & development experience after ME/MTech/equivalent degree. Candidates with skills in multidisciplinary analysis, coupled problem analysis, and, however, not mandatory but little exposure to microfabrication may be beneficial. |

Eligible persons should apply with their CV along with statement of purpose via email to ashok@iith.ac.in, on or before December 4, 2017. Mark the subject as JRF/SRF/RA CSIR.
Candidates will be short listed for interview based on merit and relevant experience related with the need of the project, and will be informed via email.
Candidates shortlisted for interview should appear in person with originals of degree certificates, academic transcripts, and date of birth proof along with any other relevant information (like copies of publications, awards, recommendations etc.)
No traveling or any other allowances is admissible for attending the interview.
Tenure of the position will be strictly for a period of 1 year or till 31st December 2018 whichever is earlier. There will not be any extension after 31 December 2018.
Preference may be given to the candidates whoever having valid GATE score or CSIR/UGC/NET or GRE/TOEFL. However, it is mandatory for JRF to have valid GATE/NET score.
