(6) Examination Fee: (i) For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-para (ii) below: Rs.500/-(Rupees Five Hundred only). (7) Recruitment Process : The candidates found prima facie eligible for recruitment will be assessed on the following basis: (A) Written Test(Note : The written test will consist of 50 objective type questions)50 marks. (B) Assessment of talent in the relevant field : (i) On the basis of Practical Demonstration-35 marks (ii) On the basis of Testimonial/Prizes etc. 15 marks (Total 100 marks) (9) General Conditions: (i) Before applying, the candidates should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility norms. The educational or Cultural qualifications acquired after the date of application shall not be considered. (ii) A candidate shall be called for Written Examination only if he/she fulfils all the laid down eligibility criteria. (iii) Candidates attempting to give false information/suppressing the facts will be disqualified and are liable for debarment and legal action. Candidates who attempt fraud/impersonation are liable to be debarred to appear in the future examinations conducted for recruitment in Railways. (iv) Candidates found eligible for appointment have to pass the prescribed medical examination conducted by the Railway administration before appointment. (v) Mere selection of candidates and recommendation for their appointment shall not confer any right on the candidates for their appointment in Railway. (vi) Second class Free journey pass from the nearest Railway station mentioned in the application form will be issued to the candidates belonging to SC & ST communities whenever they are called at any stage of recruitment. (vii) The person appointed against Cultural Quota to the category of clerks will be required to possess proficiency in typing within a period of two years from the date of appointment, and their appointment will be provisional subject to acquisition of the prescribed typing qualification within the stipulated period. In case of non acquisition of typing skill within the prescribed period, no additional time will be given and services of such candidate(s) will be summarily terminated. Note: (1) In Case of difference between English and Hindi versions of the Employment Notice the English version shall be applicable. (F) Upper age limit for widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from husband but not remarried shall be 34 years for UR, 37 years for OBC and 39 years for SC/ST. (G) For serving Railway Staff, casual labour and substitutes, the upper age limits will be 39, 42 and 44 years for UR, OBC and SC/ST respectively, provided they have put in a minimum of 03 years service. (H) For those working in Quasi-Administrative offices of the Railway, the upper age relaxation will be up to the length of service, subject to a maximum of 05 years.
