A. Academic

B. Experience

(a) Persons holding analogous posts or posts of Vice-Principals in Central/State Govt./ Autonomous organizations of Central/State Govt. in the Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400;

OR

(b) Persons holding posts of PGTs or Lecturer in Central/State Govt./ Autonomous organizations of Central/State Govt. in the pay band of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4800 or equivalent with at least 6 years regular service in the aforesaid grade.

Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply only online through NCERT website ( Announcement-Vacancy-Academic) www.ncert .nic.in.

Before applying for the post, the candidates must have a valid email id through which he/she will register with the online application portal.

4.

Candidates are required to visit NCERT website www.ncert .nic.in where complete advertisement, details regarding eligibility criteria, selection procedure, application fee, online registration and general conditions are available.

5.

Application fees :- Applicants { UR (Male)/OBC (Male) } are required to pay a fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) in the form of demand draft/Bankers Cheque only in favour of Secretary, NCERT payable at State Bank of India, NCERT Branch, New Delhi-110016. No application fees for SC/ST/PWD/Women/NCERT employees. Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

Candidates should fill in the details to register and then fill the information in the online application form at the appropriate places very carefully as per the instructions available on the website.

7.

Fields with STAR (*) mark are mandatory and essential to be filled in by the candidate. When all the required information have been provided, click submit button. However, before clicking Submit button, candidate must make sure that no changes are required. After application is submitted, no alteration will be entertained.

8.

While filling up the details in the application online, candidates are also required to upload their recent/latest colour passport size photograph and scanned copy of the applicants signature. As the database of the candidates applying against this advertisement is available with NCERT online, they are only required to sent the Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque with the signed copy of acknowledgement by specifying the name of candidate, name of post applied for on the reverse of DD/BC to NCERT only and not the complete sets of application.

After submission of the application, an acknowledgement page with a Unique Registration Number (URN) will appear. The Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque as mentioned above along with a signed copy of the acknowledgement will only be required to be sent in an envelope superscripted Name of the post applied, Advt. No. and URN No. and should reach to Section Officer, Recruitment-I Section, Room No. 12, 5th Floor, Zakir Hussain Block, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi- 110016 by ordinary post/registered post/speed post only by the closing date i.e. 10.10.2016. The candidates who are exempted from the payment of application fees will not be required to send any document to NCERT.

10.

The above mentioned envelopes containing DD/BC received after the closing date will not be entertained. The Council will not be responsible for non-receipt/untimely receipt of applications/ documents etc. due to any postal delay. Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque by courier or in person will not be accepted at all.

11.

In case a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, he/she should submit separate application online along with the requisite fee for each post applied for. All the online applications should be completed in all respects as each will have a separate reference number. Only one application for individual post from one applicant will be accepted.

12.

No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Before applying the candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility norms.

13.

The candidate should meet the eligibility criteria and provide the information which he/she possess as on the last date of submission of the application. Candidates who have not acquired/will not acquire the educational qualification as on the closing date of receipt of application will not be eligible and need not apply. Candidate will not be allowed to add any documents to their applications after the submission of the application.

14.

The Council will not undertake details scrutiny of the applications for eligibility and other aspects at the time of written examination and, therefore, their registration/admission will be provisional at all stages of recruitment as their eligibility will be verified only at the time of Interview. From their original documents. Mere issue of admit card/Interview call letter will not imply acceptance of candidature of the applicants. Candidature of a registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or even after joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria at any stage.

B. INTERVIEW

60 Marks

NOTE 1 The questions will be objective type with four multiple choice answers. The candidate is required to mark only one answer out of four options.

2 Marks obtained in Part I will be reckoned for shortlisting the candidates for evaluation of Part II & Part III. Part II & Part III of Question Paper of the candidates securing minimum 03 marks each in General English & General Hindi and Total 09 marks in aggregate in Part I, will be evaluated.

3 The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Part II & Part III and Interview (40+100+60=200). The ratio of weightage of written examination (Part II & III) and Interview will be 70:30.

b.

For the post of POST GRADUATE TEACHERS ( Guidance Counsellor/Computer Sc. /Biology/ Chemistry/ Commerce /English/Hindi/History/Maths )

PART-I

Will comprise of 40 multiple choice questions in English and Hindi subjects carrying 20 marks each (total 40 marks).

PART-II

Will consist of 160 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each comprising Current Affairs (20), Reasoning and Numerical Ability (20), Teaching Methodology (20) and the subject concerned (100) questions (The syllabus for subject concerned will be made available on NCERT website later).

The test will be of 03 hours duration. The Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies Part I securing 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects and 13 marks in aggregate in English and Hindi. The final merit will be based on the performance of the candidate in written test (Part II) and interview. The weightage of written test (Part II) and interview will be 70:30.

c.

For the posts of TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERs (Dance, Commerce, Agriculture, Phy. Edu. Music, English, Hindi) and PRIMARY TEACHERS

PART-I

Of the question paper will consist of 30 multiple choice questions in English (15) and Hindi (15) questions carrying 1 mark each.

PART-II

Will consist of 120 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each comprising of Current Affairs (40), Reasoning Ability (40) and Teaching Methodology (40).

The total duration of test for the posts of TGTs and Primary Teachers will be two and a half hours each. Part II of the question paper of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies in part I securing 4 marks each in English and Hindi subjects and 10 marks in aggregate. The final merit will be based on the combined performance in the written test (Part-II) and interview and the weightage will be 70:30.

d.

For the post of WET

PART-I

Will consist of 40 multiple choice questions in the subjects English and Hindi carrying 1 mark each.

PART-II

Will consist of 160 multiple choice questions carrying I mark each comprising of Current Affairs (30), Reasoning and Numerical Ability (30) and concerned subject (100) questions. (The syllabus for subject concerned will be made available on NCERT website later ).

The test will be of 03 hours duration. The Part II of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies Part I securing 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects and 13 marks in aggregate in English and Hindi subjects. The final merit list will be based on the performance of the candidate in written test (Part II) and interview. The weightage of written test (Part II) and interview will be 70:30.

The written examination will be conducted in Delhi city only. Schedule of examination will be displayed on NCERT website separately. Candidates are requested to visit on NCERT website regularly.

The name of the shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the website of the Council. These candidates will be called for interview/written examination and the call letters will be sent separately.

Final result of the selected candidates will be displayed on NCERT website. The Council will not enter into correspondence with the candidates about reasons for their non-selection in the recruitment process. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.

Only Indian Nationals need to apply.

21.

The relaxation in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(NCL) category is provided in accordance with the KVS/GOI/NCERT rules.

22.

Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as applicable under the Govt. of India rules would be applicable. No upper age limit for Council employee. No age

relaxation will be given to the candidates working in Autonomous Body/Statutory Body /Public Sector Undertaking.

23.

Candidate must indicate his caste/category in the application column of the application form (SC, ST, UR & OBC (NCL) etc). Leaving the caste column blank would not automatically be assumed as an application for un-reserved category and the application will be rejected.

24.

The OBC-Non Creamy candidates will be required to submit a valid caste certificate for purpose of reservation in appointment to posts under Government of India/Central Government from a competent authority along with self-declaration as per Annexure I that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer as on the closing date of submission applications.

25.

For availing the reservation under OBC(NCL) category, the name of caste and community of the candidate must appear in the Central List of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website, www.ncbc .nic.in

26.

Above vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the actual requirement.

27.

Mere fulfillment of qualifications and other requirement laid down does not entitle a candidate to be called for written examination/ interview. Mere submission of the application will not entail a right for claiming written examination/ interview.

28.

NCERT reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility qualifications etc. in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written examination/interview and reject the application without assigning any reasons/change the number of posts.

29.

NCERT reserves the right to fill up all the posts or alter the number of posts or even cancel the whole process of recruitment without assigning any reason and without any notification.

30.

The decision of the NCERT in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of interview/written examination, selection and allotment of posts/organizations to selected candidates will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

31.

NCERT reserves the right to alter/insert any corrections/additions in the advertisement in the event of any typographical error before the last date prescribed for the receipt of applications, for which the candidates are advised to look for the change (if any) on the website ( www.ncert.nic.in ).

32.

The NCERT reserved the right to hold/not to hold selection committee for any or all of the post (s).

33.

Any dispute with regard to the recruitment will be subjected to the Courts having jurisdiction in Delhi only.

34.

The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect (i.e. age limit, essential qualification and other criteria etc.) shall be the closing date of submitting the Application.

35.

Applicants serving under Government, Quasi-Government, Public Sector Undertaking and Autonomous Organizations should apply through proper channel. They may, however, if they so desire, submit advance copies of their applications direct to the NCERT. If there is a delay in the forwarding of applications, candidates should, if and when called for written examination/ interview, bring with them the written permission of the Head of the Department or Office of their employers as the case may be, permitting them to appear before the selection Committee for interview/written

examination . In absence of No Objection Certificate candidates will not be allowed to appear in interview/written examination.

36.

The service of the candidates who is working on regular continuous basis in Central/State Govt./ Autonomous Body of Central/State Govt/Public Sector Undertaking will be counted for experience purpose wherever required. Adhoc/Contractual service and different pay scales other than those mentioned in the advertisement will not be counted for experience purpose.

37.

The selected candidates are liable to be posted in any constituent unit of the NCERT. Therefore, only those candidates who are willing to serve anywhere in India may only apply.

38.

All Certificates, Degrees and other documents must be produced in original at the time of interview/written examination for verifications (if shortlisted). As such, the candidates may ensure their eligibility before applying for the post. The candidates if found in-eligible his/her candidature for the post will be summarily rejected.

39.

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to verification of category, caste, character & Antecedents from the concerned authorities and completion of other formalities as per the NCERT rules issued from time to time.

40.

In the cases where the candidate received grades letter or grading points instead of marks, should provide equivalent marks and attach a certificate from the concerned board/university/institutions explaining the method of conversion.

41.

Any subsequent change of address/Telephone No./Email address should be promptly communicated to the Section Officer, Recruitment -1 Section , Room No. 12, 5th Floor , Zakir Hussain Block, NCERT, New Delhi- 110016.

42.

Candidate should note that Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation /Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate available on the date of submission of application will only be accepted by the NCERT for determining the age- eligibility and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

43.

Submission of false information and bogus documents will be liable for rejection of application.

44.

Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification and his/her candidature is liable to be summarily rejected.

45.

No TA/DA or local conveyance shall be paid to the candidates called for written test/interview.

46.

Application will be rejected, if more than one application is submitted by the same candidate for the same post.

47.

In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply in advance. NCERT will not be responsible for any network problem or any other technical related issues while applying online.
