Mahalanobis National Crop Forecast Centre (MNCFC) of the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare (DAC&FW), Government of India is executing projects called FASAL (Forecasting Agricultural output using Space, Agrometerology and Land based observations) and CHAMAN (Coordinated Horticulture Assessment and Management using geoinformatics). The projects envisage use of Remote Sensing data for Crop Production Forecasting and Horticulture Assessment, respectively. DACFW has engaged M/s Randstad India Limited, Gurgaon (Service Provider) to provide Analysts for the FASAL & CHAMAN project to be posted at MNCFC, New Delhi and Regional Remote Sensing Centre of NRSC, Bangalore. The present period of engagement of Randstad India Ltd. is upto March 31, 2017. Even if a new agency is to be engaged after 01-04-2017, preference will be given for continuation of selected candidates, whose performance is found to be satisfactory and who are willing to continue with the new agency. Recruited Analysts will be employees of the Service Provider and would provide professional services to various organisations, mentioned above, on outsourcing basis. The jobs are purely temporary, initially for a period of 6 months, can be extended maximum upto project period (March 31, 2017), based on performance of the candidates.


For these services, Analysts shall be paid through the Service Provider @ Rs. 40000 per month (Rupees Forty Thousand Only) per Analyst. These figures of Rs. 40,000 shall be the consolidated amount which will be given in hand to these professionals. Only employees contribution of EPF, if applicable, shall be deducted from this amount.

* The minimum percentage of mark in the qualifying examination shall be 60%.

III. Working hours:

Analysts will be required to work at least during normal Office hours of the place of posting for all working days of a month. In case of exigencies and whenever required, the deployed personnel may be required to work beyond office hours and on holidays also without any extra remuneration. In case of absence of the Analysts during working days or whenever required additionally as above beyond working days, there shall be a pro-rata reduction for each day of absence out of their monthly emoluments. Absences from work of not more than 18 days in a year may be allowed (subject to prior approval) to take care of ill-health or any other personal constraints.

IV. Procedure of Selection:

Candidates will be screened based on their eligibility and in the order of merit of as per their academic record and experience based on their Curriculum Vitae (CV). Screened in candidates will be called by the service provider for written test, in New Delhi. Based on performance in the written test, candidates will be selected for interview by an expert committee. Combined overall performance to be assessed based on objective numerical criteria in Written test (50%), Interview (30%), CV (20%) and shall be deciding factor.
