Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for purely temporary project position(s) as per the details given below for the consultancy/research project(s) under the Principal investigator Prof. C.S.P. Ojha, Professor, Civil Engineering Depait ment , Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee , Roorkee-247 667 (cspojha@gmail.com and cojhafce@iitr.ac.in).

1. Title of project : Sustaining Himalayan Water Resources in a Changing Climate (SusHi-Wat) *

2. Sponsor of the project: Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), New Delhi

3. Project position(s) and number:

   Position and Monthly Emoluments	Required Qualification
   One Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Rs. 28000+15%HRA as per IITR rules	BE/B.Tech. or equivalent degree with GATE and 2 years of experience Or ME/M.Tech . with GATE or equivalent degree in relevant field or M.Sc. with NET qualified 2 years of experience (*) in relevant fields. age limit 32 years.

   (*)Academic/Field/Research experience and qualification in: Civil Engg/Agril. Engg. (Soil and Water Engg.) /Water Resources /Environmental Engg/Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing/GJS/natural Resources and allied braches.

4. Qualifications : As above

5. Emoluments : As above

6. Duration: Three years up to duration of the project

7. Job description: Candidate shall have to carry study related to Hydrological Modeling using Remote Sensing and GIS, which includes Data Collection, Data Analysis , LU/LC change detection, Water Resources Assessment.

1. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.

2. Candidates desiring to appear for the Interview should submit their applications with the following documents to the office of Principal Investigator through email, by post or produce at the time of Interview:

   • Application in a plain paper with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree /certificates obtained.

   • Experience including research, industrial field and others.

   • Attested copies of degree/certificate and experience certificate .

3. Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s) /ce1t ificate(s) and experience ce1tificate(s) at the time of interview for veri ficat io -n.

4. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.

5. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

The interview will be held at 11:00 AM on 31.05.2017 at office of the Prof. C.S.P. Ojha, Professor, Civil Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, (to be given only for walk in interview).
