Walk-in-interview will be conducted on 02 June 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Machine Intelligence Unit (MIU), 3rd floor of the Platinum Jubilee Academic Building (PJAB) of the Institute for the recruitment of three Project linked persons (one for each of) purely on temporary basis in the Machine Intelligence Unit of the Institute, under the following projects.

1 Name of the Projects

1. Machine Leaming for Cancer Management using Radio Images and Gene

   Expressions.(01)

2. Computational Methods to Integrate Microarray data and Protein-Protein Interaction Networks for Disease Gene Identification.(01)

3. Remotely Sensed Big Data and Land Cover Classification. 01

Qualifications:

Essential (For proiect 1, 2 and 3):

i) ME/ M.tech. or equivalent degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Information Technology; or M.Sc. in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science.
(ii) Good knowledge in Computer Programming (C/C++/Java).
(iii) All through First Class.

Desirable (For Proiect 3):

Preference will be given to the candidate having knowledge in at least one of these: remotely sensed image analysis, Convolution Neural Networks, Deep Leaming, CUDA Programming and GPGPU.

Pay(For Project 1, 2 and 3):

Consolidated t20000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) to 30000/- (Rupees thirty thousand only) per month, depending on the qualification and experience.

Tenure of Appointment: (For Project 1, 2 and 3):

The appointment will be till 31st March 2018 from the date of his/her joining the Institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.

Age(For Project 1, 2 and 3):

The age limit is 35 years as on O1 May 2017, with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and differently abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.

Candidates appearing at the interview will be required to bring an Application addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Computer & Communication Sciences Division, Indian Statistical Institute along with their current resume (signed) in English, which must include (a) Name (In block letters), (b) Residential Address, (c) E-mail Address, (d) Telephone/Mobile No., (e) Parent's/Spouse's Name, (f) Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination), (h) Experience (if any), (i) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status along with originals and attested copies of all documents/testimonials.
