Sub: Application for filling up of temporary position of Project Assistant II (1 no.) on contract basis under DST-INSPIRE Faculty project.

Applications neatly typed on plain paper are invited for filling up temporary position of Project Assistant II (1 no.) on contract basis, as per the following details:

Minimum prescribed educational qualifications	M.Tech. / M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Microbiology from a recognized university with minimum of 55% marks (aggregate)
Desirable qualifications / experience	Experience in molecular biology (PCR, gel electrophoresis, gene isolation, cloning) and microbiological techniques
Job requirement	Daily experiments, documentation and reporting
Emoluments per month	Rs. 16,000/ (Consolidated)

Age limit	28 years*

* A relaxation up to 5 years is provided for the candidates belonging to OBC/ SC/ST/ PWD (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC categories) and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided for the candidates having research experience.

The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee. The appointment will be purely on temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise; and shall not entitle the appointee any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.

The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where the number of applications received in response to this Notice is large, the Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration the qualifications and experience over-and-above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the notice. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying. The Screening Committee may also conduct a written test prior to the interview to evaluate the candidates.

No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. Selected candidates will have to join the duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
