Recruitment of Security Officer through Computer Based Test (CBT)

The pay scale is in the grade of 24,900 - 50,500/-with an increment of 3% per year. Besides Basic Pay, the employee is entitled to allowance @ 47% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach, Dearness Allowance, HRA/Company Accommodation, Mining Allowance, Contributory Provident Fund, Conveyance Maintenance, Substantial Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facility for self and dependents, Gratuity, Post Retirement Benefit Scheme and Composite Social Security Scheme as per Company rule s. (Pay and allowances are due for revision w.e.f. from 01.01.2017)

Important:

a.
The following organisations are defined as Central Police Organisation (CPO) for the purpose of this recruitment:
i. Intelligence Bureau, Central Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPRD), National Crime Records Bureau, National Investigation Agency, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, North Eastern Police Academy, Shillong and National Institute of Criminology & Forensic Science (NICFS). ii. Central Armed Police Forces of the Union namely Assam Rifles (AR), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Security Guard (NSG) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
b.
The degree offered by Institutions / Universities should be approved / recognized by the necessary statutory bodies for employment to posts and services under the Central Government like Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/UGC/AICTE etc.
c.
Qualifications mentioned in the table above are sacrosanct .Candidates may please note that for the post of Security Officer, PG Diploma shall not be acceptable as being equivalent to Post Graduate Degree.
d.
Wherever CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI/ DGPA or letter grade in degree is awarded, equivalent % of marks should be indicated in the application. Calculation of percentage of marks in the qualifying degree should be as per university/ institution rules. Please also obtain a certificate to this effect from the Univ. / Instt., for submission at the time of interview.

The Candidate must possess the Post Graduate Degree on the last date of online Application i.e. 04.11.2017. In cases where division/ class and percentage equivalence certificate is not given by the Institute for relative grades (CGPA/OGPA/CPI/DGPA etc.), the equivalence will be established by dividing the candidate's relative grade with maximum possible corresponding scale and multiplying the result with 100.
f.
For getting the benefit of reservation under OBC category, the name of caste and community of the candidate must appear in the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website www.ncbc.nic.in. The candidates must not belong to creamy layer. Candidates seeking reservation as OBC, will have to submit at the time of interview, caste certificate, ONLY in the prescribed proforma meant for appointment to posts under the Government of India from the designated authority indicating clearly the candidates caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognised as OBC and the Village/Town the candidate is ordinarily resident of.
g.
Prescribed format of the caste certificate for OBC, SC, ST for employment in government undertaking is down-loadable from www.ongcindia.com.
h.
OBC candidates must ensure that they possess the latest Non-Creamy layer certificate as per the format issued by the Government of India from time to time. A certificate containing any variation in the caste name will not be accepted.

Note: State Police/ State Armed Forces shall not be covered under the term Central Police Organisation.

3. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

3.1. Eligible candidates meeting age and minimum eligibility criteria of ONGC as para 2 above will be required to appear in the Computer Based test (CBT).

3.2 The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held in Delhi / NCR only.

3.3 Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria as per para 2 above will be shortlisted on the basis of marks scored in CBT. Candidates shortlisted after the CBT will be subjected to Physical Standard Test and Personal Interview. Further Selection process will be conducted subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.

3.4 Final Selection will be on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in CBT, Educational Qualification (Including additional inline higher qualification) and performance in personal Interview. If total marks are identical than order of merit will be fixed on the basis of performance in CBT and if both (Total Marks & Performance in CBT) are identical than the older one in age is considered senior for selection.

3.5. Distribution of marks in the selection process will be as follows:

Total 100 Candidate has to pass individually in CBT and the Interview for empanelment.

4. HOW TO APPLY:

4.1 Candidate has to apply through Online Application to ONGC with relevant link available at www.ongcindia.com.

4.2 The candidate has to upload the scanned copies of signature and passport size photograph.

4.3 The candidate is required to submit following amount of application fee (if applicable):

4.4 On completion of on-line application process, the candidates will be required to take print out of registration slip. Candidates must preserve this document carefully.

6.1. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed advertisement of ONGC very carefully.

6.2. Mere issue of call letter to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by ONGC. Till such time the candidature is provisional and ONGC takes up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidate has qualified for Interview.

6.3. Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment or joining if any information provided by the candidate is found false or is not in conformity with eligibility criteria.

6.4. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the Companys Medical Examination as per standards laid down under ONGCs Medical Examination of Employees Rules, 1996. Details of the rules are available on ONGCs website
