QUALIFICATIONS(E.Q.= Essential Qualifications; D.Q.= Desirable Qualifications):

E.Q.(I) For post codes 1, 2, 7, 9-17, 23-27 & 30-32:

i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1,candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
v. The proviso prescribed under Regulation 3.3.1, 4.4.1, 4.4.2, 4.4.2,3, 4.5.3 and 4.6.3 in the University Grant Commission (Minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in Universities and Colleges and other measures for the maintenance of standards in higher education) (3rd Amendment) Regulations, 2016 regarding exemption to the candidates registered for Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009 shall stand amended by UGC Regulations 2016 dated 11.7.2016 and be read as under:

Provided further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
(c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
(d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
(e) Candidate has made at least two presentation in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work.

(a) to (e), as above, are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/pro-Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions).

Good Academic Record for teaching positions as defined in the Short-listing Guidelines under Ordinance-11.A(1).

D.Q. for post code 23: Ph.D. in Soil & Water Conservation/Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry/Soil Science.

D.Q. for post code 31: Specialization in Clinical/Counseling Psychology/Neuropsychiatry;

For posts code 3 (Dravyaguna); 18 & 19 (Kayachikitsa/Swasthvritta & Yoga): E.Q.: (a) A degree in Ayurveda from a University established by law or a statutory Board/Faculty/Examining Body of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970. (b) A Post-graduate qualification in the subject/specialty concerned included in the schedule to the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970. (c) No teaching experience is required. Lecturer will be treated as Assistant Professor. (Age not exceeding 45 years).

D.Q.(for post codes 18 & 19): Good academic records, Publications Knowledge of Modern Medical Sciences and Sanskrit.

Post Codes 4 to 6 (For Pharmacy subjects): E.Q.: (1) A basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm.); (2) Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments; (3) First Class Masters Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy. D.Q.: (1) Teaching, research industrial and/or

professional experience in a reputed organization; and (2) Papers presented at Conferences and/or in referred journals.

For post code 8 (For Agricultural Engg.):(i) E.Q.: First Class Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering(Engg.)/ Technology(Tech.); (ii) Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: 1.Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers presented at conferences and/or refereed journals.

For post code 20 (For Cert. Course of Textile Design): E.Q. As prescribed under qualification at E.Q. I (i to v); OR ,

A Professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should have : (1) First class Diploma in Visual (Fine) arts discipline from the recognized Institution of India/Abroad ;(2) Five years of experience of holding regular regional/ National exhibitions/Workshops with evidence; and (3) Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.

For post codes 21, 28 & 29: For MBA(Agri-Business)/MTM/MTA/MABM: E.Q. (i) First Class Masters Degree in Business Management/Administration/ in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE/UGC; OR, (ii) First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies.

D.Q.: (i) Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization; (ii) Papers presented at Conferences and/or published in refereed journals.

Note:- (For post code 29 only): Preference will be given to the candidates having specialization and experience in the functional area of Agribusiness Management System/Rural Development/Human Resource Management.

For post code 22:E.Q.(1) As prescribed for qualifications at E.Q. I(i) Good Academic Record as in M.Sc. in any branch of Plant Science/Plant Biotechnology, from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university; & (2) As prescribed in qualification as at E.Q. I(ii to v)

D.Q. (1) Knowledge in Plant Molecular Biology/Genetics and Plant Breeding; and/or (2) Knowledge in Bioinformatics/Genomics/ Genetics Engineering;

For post codes 33 : E.Q.: (1) M.Sc.* / M.Tech.# in Geoinformatics or Remote Sensing and GIS with M.Sc./M.C.A./ B.C.A./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering/Geography/Geology/Geophysics/Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics;

* If M.Sc., then qualification as prescribed at E.Q. I(i to v);

# If M.Tech., then qualification as prescribed E.Q. for post code 8.

For post codes 34 to 37: E.Q.(1) (a)A Masters Degree with minimum of 55% marks in Hindi/Sanskrit (for post code 34); in English with Hindi/Sanskrit at graduation level(for post code 35); in Geography with History/Political Science at graduation level (for post code 36); in Chemistry with Zoology/Botany at graduation level(for post code 37); and M.Ed. with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); OR, M.A.(Education) and B.Ed. each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

(b) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / such other affiliating body/State Government, from time to time for the positions of Principal and lecturers, shall be mandatory

(2) As prescribed under qualification at E.Q. I (ii to v)

For post codes 38: E.Q.(1) First Class Masters Degree in a relevant/allied management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM in relevant discipline declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE/UGC; OR, First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies. OR, (1) As prescribed in qualification at E.Q. I(i) -in Hospitality & Tourism; (2) As prescribed for qualification E.Q. (I) (ii to v).

For post codes 39 & 40: E.Q.: (i) Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Masters Degree in Food Technology/ Food Science & Technology/Food Engineering/Food & Agricultural/Food & Dairy Engineering/Post Harvest Technology/ Post Harvest Engineering/Agricultural Process Engineering/Agricultural Processing/Food and Agricultural Process Engineering/ Food Process Engineering/Home Science/General Home Science/Family and Community Science (for post code 39); and Logistics Management/MBA-Logistics Management (for post code 40); OR, First class in two years full time PGDM in relevant discipline declared equivalent by AIU/recognized by the AICTE/UGC;

(ii) Ph.D. or Fellow of Indian Institute of Management or of an Institute recognized by AICTE and declared equivalent by the AIU.

(iii) A minimum of eight years experience of teaching/industry/research/professional at managerial level excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree.

OR

In the event the candidate is from industry, the following shall constitute as essential:

1. As qualification prescribed at (i), above, (for post codes 39 & 40).
2. A minimum of ten years experience of teaching/industry/research/professional, out of which five years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent excluding the period spent for obtaining research degree. The candidate should have professional work experience, which is significant and can be recognized at national/international level as equivalent to Ph.D. and ten years managerial experience in industry/profession of which at least five years should be at the level comparable to that of Lecturer/Assistant Professor.

Desirable Qualification: (a) Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization. (b)Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/obtained, books and/or technical reports; and (c)Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of PG/Research Students or supervising R & D projects in industry.

For post codes 41 (Medical Lab. & Technology): E.Q.: (i) A Ph.D. Degree with First Class Bachelors or Masters Degree in Biomedical Instrumentation Engg./Biomedical Engg./ Medical Electronics/Bio-Chemistry/Chemical Engg. and experience of 10 years in teaching, research and/or industry out of which at least five years at the level of Assistant Professor/Reader or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree. OR, (ii)In the even the candidate is from industry, the following shall constitute as essential: (1)First Class Masters Degree in appropriate branch; (2)Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in appropriate branch of Engg. & Technology, and industrial/professional experience of 10 years, out of which at least five years at a senior level of Assistant Professor/Reader. Provided that the recognition for significant professional shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a 3-member committee of experts appointed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University. (iii) Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: (1)Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization; (2)Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/obtained, books, and/or technical reports; (3)Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of PG/Research Students or supervising R&D projects in industry; (4)Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research industrial and/or professional activities; and (5)Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D, consultancy and related activities.

For post code 42 (Demonstrator/Instructor): E.Q. BNYS/BAMS from recognized institutions; OR, M.Sc. in Yoga and Diploma in Naturopathy and Yoga. D.Q.: Teaching experience/Clinical experience/Good academic record/Knowledge of Modern Medical Sciences and Sanskrit.

General Instructions to the Candidates

1.The engagements are on purely job contract basis for specific work for the current academic session 2016-17, which may be extended, if required.

2. Eligibility of a candidate and satisfaction of any other criteria shall be considered as on date of walk-in-interview.

3. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.

4. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason or may increase or decrease the number of posts.

5. Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) will be provided at the Masters level in case of SC/ST/differently-abled candidates for the post of Assistant Professor as per UGC Regulations 2010.

6. The candidates should bring their original certificates/mark-sheets for verification at the time of walk-in-interview.
