ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF RA/SRF/JRF IN MATHEMATICS

Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate (RA)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/ Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the following research project funded by CSIR at Department of Mathematics, BITS Pilani, Pilani campus.

Title of the project: Mathematical Modeling and Analysis of the Dynamics of Diabetes Mellitus in Indian Population and Control Measures

Duration of the project: 3 years

Project position: RA/SRF/JRF (01)

Fellowship amount: Research Associate (RA): Rs.36000/- pm

Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 14000/- pm

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 12000/- pm.

Eligibility requirements:

1. Research Associate: Ph.D in mathematics/mathematical biology/applied mathematics OR having 3 years of research, teaching experience after ME/ M Tech in mathematics/applied mathematics. Age limit maximum 35 years.

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF): (i) M.Sc. in Mathematics or equivalent and at least 2 years of post- M.Sc. research/teaching experience as evident from published papers in standard refereed journals OR (ii) ME/MTech in mathematics/applied mathematics. Age limit maximum 32 years.

3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF): M.Sc. in Mathematics with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and passing of NET/GATE test. Age limit maximum 28 years.

Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates.

Desirable experience: Good knowledge of Matlab/Mathematica/programming skills would be preferred.
