WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The University requires faculties/non-teaching staff on contractual basis to run the following courses running at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus/Main Campus, BHU for the academic session 2016-17. The candidates having minimum qualifications and fulfilling other eligibility conditions may appear for walk-in-interview alongwith their bio-data(affixing a photograph at it) enclosing therewith one set of photocopies of certificates and mark-sheets in support of age, qualifications and experiences, etc. at the Office of the Joint Registrar (Recruitment & Assessment Cell), Holkar House, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005 on 14.9.2016 at 8.00 a.m.:

Remuneration:-

Assistant Professor: Rs.30,000/-p.m.(fixed)

QUALIFICATIONS(E.Q.= Essential Qualifications; D.Q.= Desirable Qualifications):

For post codes 1 & 2: E.Q. (1) First Class Masters Degree in a relevant/allied management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM in relevant discipline declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE/UGC; OR, First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies; OR,

i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree in Food Processing & Management(for post code 1); in Commerce with specialization in Logistics Management (for post code 2) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1,candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
v. The proviso prescribed under Regulation 3.3.1, 4.4.1, 4.4.2, 4.4.2,3, 4.5.3 and 4.6.3 in the University Grant Commission (Minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in Universities and Colleges and other measures for the maintenance of standards in higher education) (3rd Amendment) Regulations, 2016 regarding exemption to the candidates registered for Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009 shall stand amended by UGC Regulations 2016 dated 11.7.2016 and be read as under:

Provided further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
(c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
(d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
(e) Candidate has made at least two presentation in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work.

(a) to (e), as above, are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/pro-Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions).

Good Academic Record for teaching positions as defined in the Short-listing Guidelines under Ordinance-11.A(1).

D.Q.(for post code 1): Doctoral degree in the relevant subject. Preference will be given to those candidates who have Masters Degree in Home Science/M.Tech. in Food Processing & Preservations and having teaching or Industrial experience in Food and Agro based Industry.

D.Q.(for post code 2): Preference will be given to those candidates who have Masters Degree in Commerce/Management with 2 years teaching experience in Logistics Management.

For post code 3: E.Q. (a): (1) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree in M.Sc./Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology/ Medical Biotechnology/ MLT from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. OR, (b) M.D. in Pathology; OR, (c) MBBS with 5 years teaching experience and PG Diploma in Pathology; OR, (d) M.D.(Ayurveda) Roga Vihyan and Vikriti Vigyan; OR, (e) BMLT with 5 teachers teaching experience in Medical Laboratory Technology.

For post code 4: E.Q.:(1) (i) Recognized veterinary qualifications included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/ Veterinary Council of India. (ii) B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. (iii) Master degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed with consistently good academic record. (iv) For the candidate having Masters Degree, NET shall remain compulsory alongwith one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal. (2) As prescribed for post code 1 at E.Q. (1) (i to v).

For post code 5 (Instructor): E.Q.: (1) Master Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks (2) Must have obtained a Certificate/ Diploma in Stenography and Computer. D.Q. Must have at least five years of experience in teaching of Stenography/ Computer. Candidate having Ph.D. Degree shall be preferred.

For post code 6 (Radiation Therapy Technologist(Medical Technologist): E.Q.:(1) Passed 10+2 or equivalent with science subjects from a recognized board. (2)Two years radiation therapy technologists course or equivalent based on the minimum course content prescribe by the competent authority from a recognized institution with in field training in radiotherapy. OR

Equivalent as approved by AERB. D.Q.: A certification from the competent authority for the safe handling of telegrmma therapy equipment.

General Instructions to the Candidates

1.The engagements are on purely job contract basis for specific work for the current academic session 2016-17, which may be extended, if required.

2. Eligibility of a candidate and satisfaction of any other criteria shall be considered as on date of walk-in-interview.

3. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.

4. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason or may increase or decrease the number of posts.

5. Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) will be provided at the Masters level in case of SC/ST/differently-abled candidates for the post of Assistant Professor as per UGC Regulations 2010.

6. The candidates should bring their original certificates/mark-sheets for verification at the time of walk-in-interview.
