WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The University requires faculty on contractual basis to run the following courses at Rajeev Gandhi South Campus (RGSC), Barkachha(Mirzapur)/Main Campus, BHU for the academic session 2016-17(or till incumbent joins on regular basis) which may be extended, if required. The candidates having minimum qualifications and fulfilling other eligibility conditions may appear for walk-in-interview alongwith their bio-data(affixed a photograph at it) enclosing therewith one set of photocopies of certificates and mark-sheets in support of qualifications and experiences, etc. at the Office of the Joint Registrar, Recruitment & Assessment Cell, Holkar House, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005, on the date & time as given below:

Remuneration:-

Post code 1: Rs.50,000/-p.m.(fixed) + NPA

Post code 2 to 8: Rs.30,000/-p.m.(fixed) + NPA

Post code 9 to 11 : Rs.30,000/-p.m.(fixed)

Post code 12 : Rs. 21,250/- p.m. (pro-rata basis)

QUALIFICATIONS(E.Q.= Essential Qualifications; D.Q.= Desirable Qualifications):

E.Q.(A) For post code 1: E.Q.: (i) Recognized veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India. (ii) B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. (iii) Master degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed with consistently good academic record (iv) Ph.D. in concerned / Allied / relevant discipline and (v) 10 years experience in Teaching/Research/ Extension provided 3 years experience as an Associate Professor (Rs. 12000-18300) (pre-revised) or in an equivalent position (vi) Evidence of contribution to Teaching/Research/ Extension as supported by published work/innovations.

E.Q.(B) For post codes 2 to 8:

i. (1)Recognized veterinary qualifications included in the first and second schedule in Indian Veterinary Council Act; 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/ Veterinary Council of India. (2) B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. (3) Master degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed with consistently good academic record. (4) For the candidate having Masters Degree, NET shall remain compulsory alongwith one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1,candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

v. Further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009,

shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/By Laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degrees and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
(c) Candidate had published two research papers out of which at least one in a refereed journal from out of his/her Ph.D. work;
(d) The candidate had presented tow papers in seminars/conferences from out of his/her Ph.D. work;
(e) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted.

(a) to (e), as above, are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/pro-Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions).

Good Academic Record for teaching positions as defined in the Short-listing Guidelines under Ordinance-11.A(1).

For post codes 9: E.Q.(1) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(2) As prescribed at E.Q.(B) (ii to v), above.

For post codes 10 & 11: E.Q.: (1) Masters Degree in any discipline with not less than 50% of marks*.

(2) M.Ed. Degree in specific disability area i.e. V.I./H.I. with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B+ in 10-point scale of UGC. OR

An equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI.

Validity registration with RCI u/s 19 or RCI Act 1992 is essential.

*RCI as Statutory Regulatory Body prescribed 50% as per the UGC Regulation Gazette dated Sept. 18, 2010, Section I.I.I.

D.Q.: M.Phil/Ph.D. in Special Education or Education with research emphasis on Special Education; Experience for a period of at least 2 years as teacher or researcher in the area of specific disability.

For post codes 12: E.Q.: a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). AND b) Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), to be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. c) Competence to teach in Hindi & English medium. Age Limit: Maximum age limit for Primary Teachers is 30 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

General Instructions to the Candidates

1.The engagements are on purely job contract basis for specific work for the current academic session 2016-17 or till regular incumbent join, which may be extended, if required.

2. Eligibility of a candidate and satisfaction of any other criteria shall be considered as on date of walk-in-interview.

3. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.

4. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason or may increase or decrease the number of posts.

5. Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) will be provided at the Masters level in case of SC/ST/differently-abled candidates for the post of Assistant Professor as per UGC Regulations 2010.

6. The candidates should bring their original certificates/mark-sheets for verification at the time of walk-in-interview.
