ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in (i) and (ii), candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Business Administration: - Marketing /Finance

As per UGC Regulation 2010

Essential:

/Human Resource /General Management with Computer

i. First Class masters Degree in Business Management/ Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / accredited by the AICTE/UGC.

OR

ii. First Class Graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant / Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies.

Desirable:

i. Teaching, research, Industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization.
ii. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journals.

(a) Curricula and Pedagogic Courses

The distribution of posts as are follows. The candidates may appear in the Walk-in-Interview accordingly:

i. Postgraduate degree with minimum 55% marks in the discipline relevant to the area (English, Hindi, Geography, Science, Economics and Mathematics)
ii. Postgraduate degree in Education (M. Ed.) with minimum 55% marks
iii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Education conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

However, candidates, who are, or have been Awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation 2009 or the subsequent regulations if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor, or equivalent position in Universities / Colleges / Institution.

Candidates should be M.Sc. / M. Tech/ M.Sc. (Tech) in Environmental Sciences or its equivalent. Preference will be given to the NET & Ph.D. candidates with specialization in i. Environmental Laws & Legislation, ii. Environmental impact assessment/mining safety.

Indigenous Culture Studies

As per UGC Regulation 2016 (3rd Amendment)

Essential

i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the masters degree level in relevant subject (Social Anthropology/Cultural Anthropology/Sociology/Tribal Studies) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in (i) and (ii), candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation 2009 or the subsequent regulations if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor, or equivalent position in Universities / Colleges / Institution.

A. MUSIC DISCIPLINE
i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level, in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC. Notwithstanding anything contained in (i) and (ii), candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation 2009 or the subsequent regulations if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor, or equivalent position in Universities / Colleges / Institution

i. A traditional and a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should be or have:
(a) Studied under noted/reputed traditional masters and has thorough knowledge to explain the subject concerned;
(b) A high grade artist of AIR/TV; and
(c) Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.
B. DRAMA DISCIPLINE
i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level, in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC. However, candidates who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. (h) Candidate had published two research papers out of which at least one in a refereed journal from out of his/her Ph.D. work;
(i) The candidate had presented two papers in seminars/conferences from out of his/her Ph.D. work;
(j) Open Ph.D., Viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted.
(a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions)
iii. Without prejudice to the above, NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET in not conducted.

OR

iv. A traditional and a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should be or have:
1. A professional artist with first class degree/diploma from National School of Drama or any other such approved Intuition in India or abroad;
2. Five years of regular acclaimed performance in regional/national/international stage with evidence; and
3. Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in said discipline.

Nanotechnology

As per UGC Regulation 2010

Essential:

1. First Class Masters Degree in the appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology.

Desirable:

1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization
2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.

Tribal & customary Law:

a) Law

As per UGC Regulation 2016 (3rd Amendment)

Essential

i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the masters degree level in relevant subject (Law) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in (i) and (ii), candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation 2009 or the subsequent regulations if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor, or equivalent position in Universities / Colleges / Institution.

Water Engineering & Management

As per UGC Regulation 2010

Essential:

i. First Class Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech.). (Irrigation and Drainage Engineering/Water Resources Development/Soil & Water Conservation Engg./ Structural Engg / Hydraulics/ Hydrology/Geotechnical Engg.) OR Integrated M.Tech in Water Engineering and Management with B.Tech (Agricultural/Civil Engineering)
ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:
1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;
2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.

Desirable:

Ph.D. (Agricultural Engg./Soil Water Engg./Civil Engg./ Water Engineering and Management/Water Resources Development.

Relaxation clause:

1. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and Masters level for the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
2. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Masters Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.
3. Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Interested Candidates may come with filled in application form available on University website: www.cuj.ac.in , bio-data including all original documents (also bring a photocopy of the documents self attested) with two color photographs.
2. Candidates with Ph. D. Degree awarded in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, are required to submit a certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure I) from the concerned University to the effect that their Ph.D degree is compliant of UGC (Minimum standards and procedure for awards of M.Phil/Ph.D degree) Regulation 2009.
3. Candidates registered for the Ph.D programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall submit a certificate in accordance with the University Grants Commission on minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in higher education (3rd Amendment), Regulations, 2016 (Annexure II).
4. CUJ reserves the right to cancel all and / or any centres Walk-in-Interview without assigning any reason thereof.
5. No TA/DA or accommodation shall be provided for attending the interview.
6. Interview may continue for next day depending upon the circumstances, hence the candidate may come prepared accordingly.
7. Interview date and time are tentative and may change which shall be notified from time to time in CUJ website (www.cuj.ac.in), In case of such change.
8. The number of vacancies indicated in the Advertisement notification is tentative. The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of post, at the time of selection.
9. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC and PH for all posts exists as per the guidelines of the UGC/GoI. Candidates appearing for the reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong to. They must also enclose attested Photostat copy of Caste Certificate/Medical Certificate issued from the concerned competent authorities.
10. Candidates belonging to OBC category should submit proper caste certificate as per the proforma of Govt. of India and should be among other specially mention that he/she does not belong to the persons/sections (creamy layer) as mentioned in col. 3 of the schedule to the Dept. of Personnel & Training in the Govt. of India OM No. 36012/22/93-Estt. 11. In case of any disputes/suites or legal proceedings against the University, the Jurisdiction shall be restricted to the Courts of Ranchi.
12. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of engagement letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidates.
13. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves beforehand that they possess the minimum essential qualification laid down in the advertisement.
