Qualification & Experience

1. Registrar

i) From amongst the academicians in the filed of Health Sciences who are not lower in rank than that of Professor. OR

ii) From amongst the officers of the Government who are not lower in rank that of a Additional Secretary to Government. iii) By transfer from amongst the Registrars of other University of Health Sciences or Medical or Technical University in the Country.

2. Secretary to Vice-Chancellor

Master degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks from a recognized University.

Fifteen (15) years experience out of which he must have worked at least five years in supervisory capacity and should be well versed with the University system and be capable of preparing notes, agenda and minutes of meetings and handling correspondence independently.

Desirable: The candidate should have the knowledge of shorthand and computer application. .

3. Professor:

As Reader/ Associate Professor in the subject for three years in a recognised Post Graduate Medical College in concerned specialty. (minimum 10 years teaching experience after completion of postgraduation). Publications : Minimum of four Research Publications indexed in Pub Med, Excerpta Medica or Embased Medicas or Index Medicus or Index Copernicus or Scopus or Medline Journals two accepted/ published during period as Associate Professor

4. Associate Professor:

As Assistant Professor in the subject for four years in a recognized Post Graduate Medical College in concerned specialty. (minimum 7 years teaching experience after completion of postgraduation) Publications : Minimum of two Research Publications indexed in Pub Med, Excerpta Medica or Embased Medicas or Index Medicus or Index Copernicus or Scopus or

Medline Journals , accepted/ published during period as Assistant Professor .

5. Assistant Professor:

Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized Post Graduate Medical College as Senior Resident/ Registrar/ Lecturer/ Demonstrator/ Tutor or equivalent or higher teaching faculty posts after postgraduation in the concerned specialty.

6. Senior Resident /Senior Tutor

a recognized post graduate degree from a statutory university with 3 years experience

of residency in the concerned specialty or ii) a recognized postgraduate diploma from a statutory university in the concerned specialty with 2 years experience of residency in the concerned specialty and 1 year residency experience in the concerned specialty obtained after acquiring the PG diploma or A graduate doctor with recognized MBBS degree and registered in IMR who has got 3 (three) years experience as a resident doctor in the concerned specialty

7. Junior Resident

MBBS course from a recognized medical institution.

8. Emergency Medical Officer MBBS Degree form a institution recognized by the Medical Council of India

9. Medical Superintendent:

The candidate should possesses the recognized Post Graduate medical qualification from a recognized institution with minimum five years as Professor.

Desirable qualification: MHA/ 10 years administrative experience with Post Graduate Qualification.

  1. Lady Medical OfficerMBBS degree from a institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.

  2. Radiographer

i. 10+2 or its equivalent from recognized Board/University/Institution with Science.

ii. B.Sc in Radiography from a recognized University/Institution

iii. Two years experience in the relevant field

General terms and conditions:

1. The applicant must enclose demand draft of Non-refundable in favour of The Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot payable at Faridkot as under:

i) For Sr.No. 1 to 10 Rs. 1500/-(Rs 750/-for SC/ST)

ii) For Sr.No. 11 Rs. 500/-(Rs. 250/-for SC/ST)

  1. The University has right to increase or decrease the number of posts at any stage without citing any reason or not to fill any or all the posts.

  2. Upper Age limit : The candidate should not be more than 40 years of age in the case of Assistant Professor, not more than 45 years in case of Associate Professor and not more than 50 years in the case of Professor/Medical Supdt. In Service candidates i.e. in the case of persons already in regular employment of any department of Punjab Government/ Any State Government/Central Government in India, applying for direct recruitment for all posts shall have 10 years relaxation. For other posts the maximum age is 37 years. Relaxation is upper age limit as per Punjab Govt. Rules. No person appointed as Registrar shall hold office on attaining the age of sixty years

  3. Reservation policy as per Pb. Govt,.rules.

  4. The Application on prescribed proforma must accompany self attested copies of certificates for proof of date of birth, marks sheet, degree, experience etc.

  5. Last date and time of receipt of application form at the office of the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Sadiq Road, Faridkot 21.04.2017 upto 05.00 PM.

  6. The applications received without a valid bank draft or without legible copies of documents or apparently containing incomplete information and those received after prescribed date & time will be summarily rejected.

  7. Applicant must possess the requisite qualification by the last date of receipt of application.

  8. Candidates already in service must route their application Through Proper Channel.

  9. Separate application/proforma may be used for each post.

  10. Candidate must have knowledge of Punjabi language of matriculation standard or equivalent and in case he does not, must acquire the same within six month of joining

  11. The candidates who have already applied against Advt. no 5/16 for the post of Lady Medical Officer & Advt. No 08/16 for the post of Registrar, Professor (General Medicine), Associate Professor (Pathology), Assistant Professor (Skin & VD, Radiotherapy ) and Advt.No. 10/16 Associate Professor (orthopaedics), Assistant Professor(Plastic Surgery) need not apply again. However any additional information i.e qualification, fresh experience certificate etc. may be sent to the Registrar, BFUHS, Faridkot.

Pb.Govt. notification no. 7/204/2012/4 F.C1/66 dated 15.1.2015 for a period of three years
