GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES

GENERAL INSTRUCTION

3. Submit your application online on or before 10/11/2017, 24:00 hours.
4. Print out of an online application duly filled in all respect in five copies of which two copies with all necessary self-attested documents must reach the University office on or before 15/11/ 2017, 04:00 pm.
5. The candidate must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions for the post like educational qualifications, experience and age limit criteria on the last date of application.
6. Candidates should enclose attested copies of certificates as proof of the evidence of Age, Educational Qualifications, Category, Experience, Research etc.
7. Candidates who are desirous to apply for more than one post shall have to submit separate applications for each post with separate application fee and documents.
8. The University can verify the antecedents and documents submitted by the candidate at the time of appointment or at any time during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has undesirable antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, his/her services are liable to be terminated.
9. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issuance of appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/ cancel any communication made to the candidate.
10. The reservation policy of age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWDs/Ex-Serviceman shall be as per Govt. of Gujarat/UGC norms.
11. Relaxation of 5% of marks at Master Degree level will be given to SC/ST/ SEBC candidates.
12. The qualifications and other conditions prescribed in the present advertisement are subject to regulations/norms stipulated by the University/UGC/NCTE from time to time.
13. The Selected candidate shall, during his probation period, be required to pass qualifying examination for computer knowledge in accordance with provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Computer Competency Training and Examination Rules, 2006.
14. Call letters for interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by Post or E-mail. No correspondence will be made with applicants who are not short-listed/not called for interview.
15. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify the candidate.
16. Candidates already in service must submit their applications (hard copy/print out) through proper channel. However, an advance copy could be sent directly to IITE before last date of receiving application. If the Original Application Through Proper Channel has not been received by the University, the applicant will have to submit No Objection Certificate from his/ her employer to the University at the time of Interview.
17. Applications incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all.
18. Candidates belonging to General and SEBC category are required to submit Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- along with the application and candidates belonging to S.C./S.T. category are
required to submit Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- along with the application. Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian Institute of Teacher Education, payable at Gandhinagar.
19. Please write Name of the post applied for and applicants name with full postal address on the back of the Demand Draft.
20. Print out of an online application duly filled in all respect in five copies of which two copies with all necessary self-attested documents should be forwarded to the Registrar, Indian Institute of Teacher Education Ramkrishna Paramhans Shaikshanik Sankul, KH Road, Sector-15, Gandhinagar - 382016 Gujarat, India by registered/ Speed post on or before the last date given in the advertisement. [please write the Name of the post on the top-left side of the envelope]
21. Candidates will have to appear for the Interview at their own expenses.
22. Documentary proof in support of previous experience and academic qualifications indicated in the application should invariably be sent along with the application, failing which it will be considered that you do not possess the experience and qualifications mentioned therein and the application shall be treated as incomplete and rejected.
23. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED
24. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all posts.
25. Candidates should clearly state the category to which they belong. They should also submit a Certificate issued by the designated competent authority as proof of caste/physical disability status without which the applications will not be considered in that category.
26. SEBC Candidates should submit an attested copy of caste certificate specifically mentioning Recent Creamy Layer-exclusion in the format prescribed by Government and issued by competent authority.
27. Candidates must attach University recognition letter from concern university along with their experience certificate with application otherwise their experience will not count.
28. For Associate Professor the list of UGC Notified Journals is available on https://www.ugc.ac.in/journallist/

Instructions for Filling Online Application Form:

Online Application Form is divided into 16 steps (For Associate Professor) / 12 Steps (For Assistant Professor)
The system uniquely identifies you through Aadhaar No., Email & Mobile No. You will be asked to provide these details in beginning only.
Choose type of application. Select New, if you have not submitted any information. Select Existing, otherwise.
The system shall verify you by sending OTP through email you provided. Enter your OTP and proceed ahead.
You can save the filled in information in the form at any stage.
Your form will not be submitted unless you reach the final step and explicitly submit it.
You cannot move to next step unless you fill all information in previous steps
You can view your application by clicking VIEW link on the right side of your screen. Please verify all entered information by clicking on View button before you finally submit your application.
Please note that you CANNOT modify the application details once submitted.
After you submit the application form, the system will generate a unique Application No which will be displayed on the screen.
Click on the Application number to view your application form in printable view.
Take print outs of your application as many as you need and send the required copies to IITE office along with necessary documents.
You should have your recent passport photo in soft format with you. The photo must at least be 400 pixels in width and 500 pixels in height. The size of file must not exceed 2 MB.
The application requires you to upload your scanned signature. The size of signature file must at least be 400 pixels in width and 500 pixels in height. It must not exceed 300 KB.
This Application form has been so devised that it calculates API score automatically as you fill the required data.

Pay Attention Please..

The API calculation is based on a simple calculating logic. The API is calculated on the basis of the information you fill in. The API calculated will be right if the data filled in is right. The API calculated will be wrong if the data filled in is wrong.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TEACHER EDUCATION

1. Associate Professor of Chemistry (For Serial No. 1)
M. Sc. (Chemistry) with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
Ph.D. degree in Chemistry (According to UGC minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree, Regulations-2009).
A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ Industry excluding the period of Ph. D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 Publications as books and/ or research/ Policy papers.
Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
A minimum score of API (300 points) as per UGC Regulations 2016 (4th Amendment)
2. Associate Professor of English (For Serial No. 2)
M. A. (English) with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
Ph.D. degree in English (According to UGC minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree, Regulations-2009).
A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ Industry excluding the period of Ph. D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 Publications as books and/ or research/ Policy papers.
Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

Ph. D. in Mathematics (According to UGC minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree, Regulations-2009) or NET/SLET/SET cleared in Mathematics.
4. Assistant Professor of Physics: (For Serial No. 4)
M. Sc. (Physics) with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
Ph. D. in Physics (According to UGC minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree, Regulations-2009) or NET/ SLET/ SET cleared in Physics.
5. Assistant Professor of Botany (For Serial No. 5)
M. Sc. (Botany) with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
Ph. D. in Botany (According to UGC minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree, Regulations-2009) or NET/ SLET/ SET cleared in Botany.
