AAI, Chennai Airport requires qualified Doctors residing or having clinic nearby Chennai Airport for empanelment as locum/panel doctors for mustering of Medical cover at Medical Unit, AAI, Chennai Airport.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Qualification : M.B.B.S. preferably with Post Graduation in General Medicine/Aviation Medicine/Cardiology/Surgery or Orthopedics.

Experience : At least 5 years after Graduation including one year as House Surgeon (Jr. Resident) in an Institution. Candidates who have worked in an Aviation establishment will be given preference.

Proximity : The candidates should be residing in close proximity to the Airport and make available for duty within two hours of being informed for a shift duty in case of any Airport emergency.

Availability : The doctor must be available on telephone/mobile round the clock.

Duration of duty : Minimum 6 hours.

Remuneration : (i) For first 6 hours duty Rs.490/

(ii) For every additional hour beyond 6 hours Rs.85/

(iii) For performing 12 hours duty Rs.1000/

(vi) No conveyance allowance/taxi fare is admissible.

Those fulfilling the above norms and willing to offer their services may appear for an interview in the office of DGM (Pers), Airports Authority of India, Operational Offices, III Floor, Chennai Airport, Chennai27 on 24.10.2008 at 1100 hours with Resume, original and Xerox copies of supporting documents, one recent passport size photograph and proof of residential address.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

a) You will be called to cover shortage in shift duties as and when required.

b) You will make yourself available for duty within two hours of being informed for a shift duty in case of any Airport emergency. You must be available on telephone/mobile round the clock.

c) You will be called for more than six hours in a day. d) No conveyance allowance is admissible. e) You will not be treated as regular employee of AAI, as such you will not be

governed by the rules and regulations as applicable to the regular employees. f) In case any doctor refuses to come on 3 consecutive occasions, his/her name will be deleted from the panel without intimation.
