Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS) Bengaluru, one of the Premier Research Centers of Defence R&D organization currently involved in design and development of Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems (AEW&C) & other projects in the field of Airborne Systems, invites applications for the post of JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (JRF) from Indian Nationals.

Number of vacancies: 32 (Number of vacancies may vary in future and a panel of candidates would be operated for filling vacancies in the order of merit/discipline for a period of one year from the date of validation of the panel.

Research Area: Aerodynamics, Structural Design Analysis, Radar Engineering, Communication Engineering, Networking and Display Systems, Mission computer, Thermal Management etc.

Place of Work: Centre for Airborne Systems(CABS), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Belur, Yemlur Post, Bangalore-560 037

Duration: Initially the offer is for a period of two years which may be extendable for further one year subject to review committees recommendations.

Stipend: Rs.25000/- per month + HRA as admissible.

Educational Qualification: Degree in BE/B.Tech in any of the disciplines Electronics/ECE, Electrical/Instrumentation/EEE/Computer/Science/Information/Science/Aeronautics/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering with valid GATE/NET score.

or

Post graduate degree in professional course (ME/M.Tech) in first division both at graduate and post graduate level. Discipline as stated above.

Upper Age Limit: Not more than 28 years from the closing date of advertisement. Upper Age limit shall be relaxed upto 5 years for SC/ST candidates and upto 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their marks secured in degree/post graduate degree and GATE/NET score and called for interview. The Time/Date/Venue of interview will be intimated by speed post/email. The final select list of successful candidates for the existing vacancies and panel of candidates for future vacancies will be displayed at the notice board on the same day of interview and it will also be uploaded in DRDO website.

The duly filled application should be sent to the Director, Centre for Airborne Systems(CABS), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Belur, Yemlur Post, Bengaluru-560 037 by speed post and the last date for receipt of application is 21 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News. Applications received incomplete/after due date shall be rejected. The application should be superscripted on left side top of the envelope in bold APPLICATION FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF JRF.

General Instructions:

1. Candidates working Govt/State Govt/PSU/Autonomous body should apply through proper channel and bring NOC at time of interview
2. No TA&DA shall be admissible for attending interview.
3. Candidates should make their own arrangement for their stay & transport in Bengaluru
4. Candidates need to produce the original documents in support of their educational qualification/age/caste and no objection certificate (if applicable) and a recent passport size photograph before the written test. Candidates without original documents will not be admitted for written test/interview.
