RECRUITMENT OF STAFF ON CONTRACT BASIS

IDRBT, the premier Institute of Banking Technology in the country, spearheads efforts in providing state-of-the-art technologies for the Banking and Financial Sector. The Institute interfaces Research and Development, Academics, Executive Education, Practice and Consultancy.

IDRBT is also the premier service provider for banks in India. It offers various technology services such as the INdian FInancial NETwork (INFINET); Structured Financial Messaging System (SFMS); and Certifying Authority Services (CA); which are critical for the payment systems of the country. IDRBT now invites applications for the following four positions:

1) One SENIOR TECHNOLOGY MANAGER for STRATEGIC BUSINESS UNIT:

Qualification: First Class Graduation and Post Graduation in Engineering (B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or Electronics or Communications Engineering or equivalent) with a very good academic record throughout.

Experience: The professional should have a minimum of five to seven years of hands-on experience in the IT Industry or IT Dept. of reputed organizations. The candidate should be able to define technology needs and standards, utilize next generation technologies, plan architecture, provide operational direction and implement it. S/he should be fully-conversant and have worked in areas like Systems, DBMS, Networks, Security, Data Centre Management, Management Information Systems, etc., and should be familiar with relevant standards, specifications and current IT Trends.

2) Two TECHNOLOGY MANAGERS for STRATEGIC BUSINESS UNIT

Qualification: First Class Graduation in Engineering (B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or Electronics or Communications Engineering or equivalent) with First Class Post Graduation in Management (MBA) with specialisation in Systems or Strategy or Information Technology or Technology Management with a very good academic record throughout.

Experience: A minimum of three -five years hands-on experience in reputed organizations in IT Project Management including project planning, designing, development, implementation, maintenance and execution; Customer Relationship Management; MIS Management; Documentation; etc., with hands-on expertise in IT Strategy and IT Management.

3) One INTERNAL AUDITOR

Qualification: A Chartered Accountant (at least Inter passed).

Experience: Candidates should have worked at least at the level of Chief Manager in a Public Sector Bank and been responsible for the Auditing function in the Bank for a minimum period of three years. The candidate should have relevant expertise for carrying out Audit of Accounting / Financial function independently. Candidates with exposure to IT environment would be preferred.

Candidates who have recently superannuated (in the last one year) or have taken VRS from a Public Sector Bank with in-depth hands-on exposure to Auditing may also apply.

Other Rules & Regulations

  1. All the above positions are on a contract basis for a period of three years. Subject to outstanding performance, the contract tem may be extended for a further period of two years.

  2. An attractive compensation on a CTC basis would be offered to all the selected candidates. Remuneration shall not be a constraint for the right candidate.

  3. In the case of outstanding candidates with longer experience in the specific abovementioned areas, the Institute may consider relaxing educational qualifications.

  4. The selected candidates will be working in the state-of-art facilities at a premier Institute and can look forward to highly satisfying and rewarding work.

  5. Candidates should have excellent academic record, good communication skills, and a sincere commitment towards implementing the best in technology for the Banking and Financial Sector.

  6. Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for. Mere fulfilment of eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting for Selection Process.

  7. Candidates should not enclose any certificates or copies thereof with the application. The candidature will be considered on the strength of the information declared in the CV. If at any stage, it is found that any information furnished in the CV is false / incorrect or if according to the Institute, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria, his candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled/terminated at any point in time.

  8. All educational qualifications must have been obtained from recognized universities/institutions in India or abroad. If grades are awarded instead of marks, candidates should clearly indicate their numerical equivalent.

  9. Candidates employed in Government/Semi-Government Organisations or Educational Institutions must apply through proper channel or get a no-objection certificate at the time of interview.

    1. The Institute reserves the rights to screen and call only such candidates as are found prima-facie suitable for being considered by the Selection Committee. The Institute also reserves the right to restrict the candidates called for to the selection process to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the

    2. minimum prescribed herein and the requirements of the Institute. Thus, just fulfilling the prescribed conditions would not entitle one to be called for the Selection Process.
  10. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised. The Institute at its discretion may relax the minimum requirements in case of outstanding candidates.

  11. In all matters regarding Eligibility, Compensation, Contract Term, Selection Process, Assessment, Prescribing Minimum Qualifying Standards in Selection Process, and Communication of Result, the Institutes decision shall be final and binding on the candidates and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.

  12. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct & result of selection process and reasons for not being called for the selection process.

  13.
