Applications are invited for recruitment to the following post in Grade-Ill of the Manipur Judicial Service (MJS).

2. Eligibility Conditions:

   1. The candidate should be a citizen of India.

   2. Age Limit: On the last date (20th May, 2017) fixed for receipt of applications, the candidate must not exceed the age of -

      35 Years for Unreserved (UR)

      38 Years for OBC(M) / OBC(MP)

      40 Years for ST/SC

   3. Educational Qualification:

      The candidate must be a holder of a degree in law from a recognized University established by law in India.

      Desirable: It is desirable that applicants have knowledg(J,,of Manipuri /other local languages of Manipur.

3. Mode of Selection

   Written Examination:	400 Marks (Minimum Bench Mark - 50% for UR/OBC & 45% for ST /SC). Provided that ST/SC candidates who obtain more than 45% but less than 50% shall not be eligible for appointment against the unreserved vacancies.
   Viva Voce:	70 Marks (Minimum Bench Mark - 40%)

5. Mode of Submitting Applications:

   1. Download the Application Form from . the website of the High Court of Manipur (www.hcmimphal.nic.in).

   2. Duly filled in Application Form along with the bank cha/Ian (in a sealed envelope superscribed as "Application form for MJS - Ill Examination, 2017") may only be submitted in person or by post on or before 20th May, 2017.

   3. In person - to be submitted in person to the Receipt and Despatch Section, High Court of Manipur.

   4. By post- To be sent to the address below

   Note: No documents Except the Chai/an are to be enclosed. Documents are to be produced only at the time of the interview.

6. Important Dates

   I. Last Date of Application Form Submission: 20th May, 2017

   11. Date of Issue of Admit Card (to be downloaded) : 15th June, 2017

   Ill. Date of Examination: 2Yct & 24 th June, 2017

   Note: Detailed Schedule of the Examination will be notified in the Admit Card.

7. Fees:

   I. Rs. 1500/- for UR/OBC(M)/OBC(MP) candidates.

   11. Rs. 1000/- for ST/SC candidates.

8. Mode of Payment:

   To be deposited only in the form of challan (annexed as Annexure 'A' along with the Application Form) with SBI Branches through core banking network all over India on or before 20th May, 2017. Original copy of bank challan must be attached along with the Application Form.

9. Applicants in Government service other than casual or muster roll will be required to state in the Application Form that they have informed in writing their employer/controlling authority that they are applying for the examination. In case the employer or the controlling authority withholds permission to the candidate for appearing in the examination, such applications will be rejected.

10. The Admit Card will be available in the High Court of Manipur website and may be downloaded from 15th June, 2017.

11. The decision of the High Court of Manipur as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the Examination shall be final. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Examination and Interview, it is found that a candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature for the Examination will be cancelled by the High Court of Manipur.

12. Mobile Phones Banned:

1. All types of electronic gadgets including mobile phones, pagers etc. are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.

2. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers etc. to the venue of examination as arrangement for safe-keeping of the same cannot be assured. The High Court of Manipur will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
