Recruitment of Radio Technical Assistant

NIT, Tiruchirappalli is operating a Community Radio Station in the campus. The CRS covers a radial distance of 15 KM around NIT, Tiruchirappalli. To maintain and operate the transmitter audio equipments and Personal Computers for broadcasting, a Radio Technical Consultant is required.

Proposed qualification and other details about radio technical assistant:

1. The candidate should possess Either Post graduate degree/diploma in Mass communication or equivalent courses

where the student has undergone the following courses or their equivalents:

Various aspects of radio as a medium of mass communication and radio journalism.

Audio editing and recording : Both theory & Practice

Radio production and broadcasting

or Any bachelors or post graduate degree with previous work experience in Radio

station and the software used for audio editing/Recording

2. Good aptitude in software used for word processing, internet browsing & audio processing

3. Very good ability to read, write and Speak in both Tamil & English

4. Should be able to work for 8 hours/day partly during day & night from 6-9 PM.

5. Salary : Rs.15,000/ consolidated

6. Tenure: Purely temporary in nature; Appointment would be made for 6 months initially.

Extendable for further period depending upon the need and performance.

7. Age : Maximum age limit : 45 years completed as on 1.5.2017.
