Advertisement for JRF Position

Applications are invited in prescribed format from Indian citizens for filling up a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow to work in DST -SERB sponsored project entitled Development of modified Bi-based nanosized electronic materials for multiferroic applications. The duration of project is 3 years. The qualifications and other requirements are given below.

1	Junior Research Fellow (JRF)	M.Sc in Physics with minimum 60 % (6.5 CGPA) marks with NET/GATE qualification. *In the absence of NET/GATE qualified candidates M.Sc Physics with minimum 60 % (6.5 CGPA) marks will be considered with lower fellowship.

Selected candidate with NET/GATE qualification will be appointed initially for a period of one year with a fellowship of Rs. 25,000/- per month (+HRA 10%) and it can be extended for another year with same fellowship. A fellowship amount of Rs. 28,000/- per month (+HRA 10%) will be paid in the 3rd year if the candidates work is found to be satisfactory.

Selected candidate without NET/GATE qualification will be appointed initially for a period of one year with a fellowship of 16,000/- per month (+HRA 10%) and it can be extended for another two years with same fellowship.

Age Limit: 28 Years.

The fellowship/salary is subject to change depending on DST-SERB directions.

Date, Time and Venue of Interview: Candidates selected for interview will be called on 22nd February 2017, at 3.00PM in the Academic Block-I, NIT Mizoram Chaltlang Aizawl-796012. The shortlisted candidates will be communicated through email only. Relaxation is admissible to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview.
