below. Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as I.D. Proof

in their profile.

The above vacancies are now in existence. The list of selected candidates published by

the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a period of

one year. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies noted

above and may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency

of the list.

5 Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment .

Note: Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible to apply for

the post.

6 Age limit 18-26; only candidates born between 02.01.1991 and

. 01.01.1999 (Both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Communities.

In the case of Ex-servicemen, the maximum age limit will be 40 (Forty) years. (Condition regarding other age relaxation in Para 2 of the General Conditions are not applicable to this selection).

7 Qualifications:

. (1). General Educational Qualifications:

Pass in SSLC Examination or its equivalent

Note: (KS & SSR Part II rule 10 (a) ii is applicable.)

(2). Technical:

NTC in Radio/Television/Electronics/Telecommunication/ Electrical Engineering/Computer/Information Technology or equivalent approved by Government of Kerala or equivalent qualification prescribed in respect of Ex-Service personnel.

(3). Physical Requirements

a.
Height : 167 cms
b.
Chest: 81cms
c.
Expansion: Minimum expansion of 5cms

For SC/ST candidates minimum height and chest measurement shall be 160 cms and 76 cms respectively. Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms shall however be applicable to them also.

(4) Eye sight:-Must be certified to posses the visual standards as specified below (without Glasses)

  1. Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen
  2. Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen

Note: (a) Each eye must have a full field of vision.

(b)
Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification.
(c)
Must be free from defective speech and hearing.
(d)
Candidates should have sound health and should be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bowlegs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. The candidates should produce at the time of verification a medical certificate in original in the form prescribed, here under certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses. The medical certificate should be one obtained from a medical officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon.

Note: Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the Certificate as given above and vague statements such as Vision Normal/Average will not be accepted. Specification of each eye should be stated separately against each item. If the specifications are not as indicated above, the officer issuing the Certificate should certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision, as the case may be, otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted.

(5) Physical Efficiency Test:

Must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items specified below the National Physical Efficiency, one star standard tests with minimum standards noted against each namely.

  1. 100 Metres Run :14 seconds
  2. High Jump :132.2 cms
  3. Long Jump :457.2 cms
  4. Putting the shot (weight of the shot 7264 gm) :609.6 cms
  5. Throwing cricket ball :6096 cms
  6. Rope Climbing (Using hands only) :365.8 cms
  7. Pull-up or Chinning : 8 times
  8. 1500 metres run : 5 min 44 seconds

If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test, he will not be given further chance to participate in the test.

(The physical measurement of the candidates will be taken at the time of physical

efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurements will

not be admitted for the physical efficiency test).

  1. Training:-Every candidate selected for appointment as Police Constable (Tele Communication) shall undergo 9 months of normal police training. During the period of training the selected candidates shall undergo technical training in operation maintenance and repairs of telecommunication equipment.
  2. Stipend:-During the period of training the selected candidates shall be paid stipend equal to the minimum of the scale of pay of Police Constable (Tele Communication). The period of training shall not be counted for probation or increment.
  3. Probation:-. Every person appointed to the category shall from the date on which he joins duty after successful completion of training be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
  4. Bond:-Before joining duty such candidates shall execute a bond of Rs.5,000/-to the effect that he shall serve the department for a minimum period of 5 years
  5. Mode of submitting application:-

Candidates must register as per ONE TIME REGISTRATION with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User-ID and password. Candidates must click on the Apply Now button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to applying for a post. The Photograph uploaded should be one taken on or after 31/12/2010. Name of the candidate and the date of taking photograph should be printed at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a printout of the application by clicking the link Registration Card in their profile. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information on their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. The application will be summarily rejected if noncompliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove qualification, Experience, Community, age etc have to be produced as and when called for.

13. Last date for receipt of : 05.07. 2017 Wednesday upto 12 Midnight. applications

14. If Written Test/OMR Test is conducted as a part of the selection Admission Tickets for eligible candidates will be made available in their Profile for One Time Registration and the date of downloading will be included in the Examination Calendar. Candidates can download Admission Ticket for 15 days from this date. Candidates who have downloaded the Admission Ticket will alone be permitted to attend the examination.
