Advertisement for a Project-JRF position

Applications are invited from Indian nationals to work as Project-JRF in a SERB funded research project at Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Bhopal

  1. Title: To investigate the mechanisms of Wnt protein secretion and gradient formation in polarised epithelium by live-cell imaging

  2. No. of Position: 1(One)

  3. Duration: 1 year but extension up to 3 year is possible upon satisfactory performance

  4. Essential Qualifications:

    • MSc degree in Biological Sciences/ from a recognized University/Institute and having minimum 60% Marks or CGPA of 7.5 and above at a sale of 10.

    • Preferably also having qualified CSIR-UGC NET/GATE (rank 500 or better) or any other similar type national level exam.

    • 2nd year MSc students appearing for the final exam can also apply. Final mark sheet must be submitted at the time of interview.

    • Candidates with prior experience in Drosophila genetics will be given preference.

    • Candidates should be preferably below 30 years of age at the time of application.

  5. Salary: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. + HRA. (Candidates without NET/GATE qualification may be considered for a reduced salary of 12,000/- p.m + HRA as per SERB rule)

  6. How to Apply: Applications containing detailed CV with photograph and name of two referees should reach to undersigned only by email on and before 10th June, 2017. A copy of documents showing marks or CGPA of master degree and certificates will be required at time of intervie. Only selected candidates will be called for the interview. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. The selected candidate will be expected to join at the earliest possibility.
