W A L K I N I N T E R V I E W for engaging Project Biologist and Senior Project Biologist on Contract

The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for Walk-in-interview for engaging Project Biologist and Senior Project Biologist for Project entitled Ecology of tigers with special reference to ranging patterns, dispersal and human-tiger conflicts in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh purely on contractual basis for a period of 1.5 years. The EQ, DQ and other details of the Project Biologist and Senior Project Biologist is as provided below :

Senior Project Biologist (one position)

Duration

1.5 years

Essential Qualification(EQ)

Masters degree in Zoology/Wildlife Sciences/ Ecology/Environment Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Forestry with 55% aggregated marks and above from a recognized university with minimum 2 years experience in Wildlife Research

Desirable Qualification (DQ)

Preference will be given to candidate with prior experience of working on wildlife, ability to work under harsh field conditions. Experience in Camera trapping,

Line transect walks and Ecological data analysis.

Description of Work

Working in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve for tiger ecology and tiger human conflict

Age

Age limit 35 years as on 29.05.2017. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.

Emoluments

Rs. 28,000 pm + HRA

Preference will be given to candidate with prior experience of working on wildlife, ability to work under harsh field conditions. Experience in Camera trapping, Line transect walks and Ecological data analysis.

General Conditions

  1. The candidate should report by 0930 hrs for scrutiny of documents on 29th May, 2017 followed by an Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.

  2. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications research experience, Ph.D thesis along with certificate of extracurricular activities, date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary verification.

  3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
