The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for Walk-in-interview for engaging Project Biologist for Project entitled Fishes of Sahayadri Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra purely on contractual basis for a period of one year. The EQ, DQ and other details of the Project Biologist is as provided below:

Essential Qualification (EQ)

Masters degree in Wildlife Biology / Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences with 60% aggregated marks and above from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualification

(DQ)

Experience in Aquatic Ecology, River Ecology, Aquatic habitat assessment, Fish Biology and Telemetry

techniques

Description of work

The project aims to document fish diversity and assess status and distribution of fishes within Sahayadri Tiger Reserve

Emoluments

Rs. 25,000/pm (consolidated)

Age

Not exceeding 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation: upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, as per Govt. of India rules.

General Conditions

  1. The candidate should report by 0930 hrs for scrutiny of documents on 29th May 2017 followed by an Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.

  2. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications research experience, along with

certificate of extracurricular activities, date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary verification.

  1. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
