Walk-in interviews will be conducted on 16 June 2017 (Friday) at 10:30 a.m. in the Interdisciplinary Statistical Research Unit Seminar Room (4th floor, R.A. Fisher Bhavan) of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for recruitment of one (01) Project linked person on purely temporary basis to work in the project titled "Robust and Minimum Divergence Statistical Inference" funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and to be carried out in the Interdisciplinary Statistical Research Unit of the Institute, Kolkata.

  1. Qualification : Essential: M.Sc. in Statistics with experience in programming with R or MATLAB.

    Desirable: Background in robust statistical inference.

  2. Pay : 23000/- (Rupees twenty three thousand only) per month (Consolidated) without any additional benefit.

  3. Tenure of appointment : The appointment will be from 01 July 2017 to 31 October 2017 (04 months). It may be extended later/ terminated earlier depending upon availability of the funds, requirement of the project and performance of the candidate.

  4. Age : The age limit is 35 years as on O1 May 2017 with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differentially abled and exceptional candidate(s).



Candidates appearing for the interview will be required to bring their current Curriculum Vitae (signed) in English, giving particulars of (a) Name (In block letters), (b) Mailing Address, (c) E-mail Address (d) Telephone/ Mobile No., (e) Parent's/ Spouses Name, (f) Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination), (h) Experience (if any), (i) SC/ST/OBC/differently abled status, along with originals and attested copies of all documents/ testimonials.
